Beyond the Edge: The Event

Today, earlier, I wrote about a dream.

One outcome of that dream is a beautiful and remarkable experience called “Beyond the Edge: Affirming Your Destiny as a Leader.” It is the best work I do, sharing in it with my close friends and colleagues, Barb Hummel and Jay Howell. We’ve been doing this event since 1996, sometimes once or twice a year, sometimes not at all. We are planning an event for this May. If you are interested, please stop by the Beyond the Edge website by clicking in the sidebar, download the registration materials (containing price and exact dates), and then email me. We still have room in May. I welcome questions and feedback of all kinds.

More than anything, Beyond the Edge is a place to find out how to use your personal leadership to change the world. And, of course, engage in a process of genuine personal growth and learning along the way. The world will not change without our own changes. I am deeply proud of the amazing things that have happened for people as a result of attending this event, but realize it is not the three of us who are “doing something.” We are guests at this event as much as any other participant. What comes through to those who attend is the result of the real change agents in this world: Silence. Beauty. Timelessness. Community.

These things can help any of us stand up for what we most believe in — in love, light, and life. Our hope is that Beyond the Edge will be a portal to true self and a better world.

  • I look forward to the group in May to continue the talk about what matters most in our lives and how we can more fully live that life. While I’m a facilitator now of Beyond the Edge, my first exposure was that of a participant, a participant who was struggling with the dilemma of being in a position that was an opportunity most could only dream about, and yet knowing that it was time for me to move on to honor what was deepest in my heart. I agonized for 9 months about that decision, and BTE helped me see more clearly. Will it be the same for you? Only you will know.
My work now includes holding space for people to have the conversations they’re wanting and needing to have. It sounds nebulous, but it really isn’t. Many daily give away their power, their hope, and daily a little piece of them dies. Along with Dan and Jay I invite you to come to Jackson Hole and work with us. It’s an inspirational space. It’s a respite. It’s an honoring of who you are in your most authentic version. Come discover that, come explore how that might meet the yearnings that exist in the world, waiting for your talents.
